Hi to you all!

It has been a very busy last five months for me. My solo exhibition of 30 paintings, “Inland Encounters”, has been in place now at Hay Shed Hill Winery, Margaret River since 13th August and which will be dismantled on Thursday 3rd Nov. (info attached…if you are lucky enough to be visiting the Margaret River region soon. I will be there pastelling away this weekend).

This time of the year is always frenetic with so many exhibitions to put into. November it all starts to wind down a bit, so…

My next pastel workshop –

PASTEL TECHNIQUES for Beginners / Improvers

When: Commences –  Saturday 19th November.

Where: Home Studio, 25 Rockliff Ave, Karrinyup

Duration:  4 x Sat mornings 9.30 – 12ish (happy to go longer if you are on a roll)

Cost: $200

What to bring:

• pastels (Rembrandt set of 30 half soft pastels is a good starting point if you don’t have any yet)
• for removing pastel…kneadable rubber
• small,soft, round watercolour brush (cheap)
• small, stiff, flat hog hair brush (cheap)
• something to transport pastel work (eg: small cardboard folder with a sheet of lunchwrap or tissue paper)

Supplied:

• easels and backboards
• all surfaces (pastel papers, ready primed papers, primed boards)
• use of my pastels if you need extra
• morning tea

The max. number of students is 6 to enable a more personal approach.

I can be flexible on commencement date (start 26th depending on numbers).
