Julie was born in Perth 1962.
Ever since she was a child she has had an interest in painting and drawing.
She has been involved as a member of the Pastel Society since 1999.
Combining her love of travelling and photographing the Western Australian coastline gives her the inspiration to paint. The photographs are an information source for details, the actual experience of being there is what helps her complete the work in her own interpretation.
"Capturing the essence of the coastal landscape is what motivates me to paint. I want to share with the viewer the awesome beauty of our pristine coastline and see and sense the familiar and remote areas that I love to paint."
Julie has been exhibiting her work throughout Western Australia since 1992 and has successfully exhibited works in open and invitation only art exhibitions.
